Washington Parish Grand Jury Indicts Franklinton Man on 2 Counts of First-Degree Rape Victim Under 13, 1 Count Sexual Battery Victim Under 13, and 1 Count of Failure To Register as a Sex Offender.
District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that on August 10, 2022, a Washington Parish grand jury indicted Shannon Brady Polkey, 53 of Franklinton of 2 counts of first-degree rape victim under 13, 1 count sexual battery victim under 13, and 1 count of failure to register as a sex offender.
Polkey was convicted of forcible rape in 1987 in Washington Parish and sentenced to 15 years in prison. He did not register as a sex offender in Louisiana as required by law.
