St. Tammany Parish Grand Jury Indicts Mandeville Man for First Degree Rape of a Victim Under the of Age 13 and Sexual Battery of a Victim Under the Age of 13
District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that on January 12, 2023 a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted John Steven May, age 19, of Mandeville, for First-Degree Rape of a Victim Under the Age 13 and Sexual Battery of a Victim Under 13.
May is accused of sexually abusing two victims. The victim in the rape charge was abused from April 2017 to June 2019 and the victim in the sexual battery charge was abused from April 2016 to June 2018.
Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth Authement presented the case to the grand jury.
