Lacombe Man Pleads Guilty and Sentenced to 20 Years on 6 Felony Charges

District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that on Monday, February 13, 2023, Wesley Dwayne Pierce, age 30, of Lacombe, Louisiana pleaded guilty to multiple open felony cases: battery of a police officer while under custody of the department of public safety and corrections, domestic abuse battery 4th offense, aggravated burglary and aggravated battery and simple possession of heroin and various other drugs. On Thursday, February 16, 2023, he pleaded guilty to an additional set of felony charges for introduction of contraband into the jail (heroin) and possession with the intent to distribute heroin.

On February 16, 2023, Pierce was sentenced to 20 years in prison as to the battery of police officer, aggravated burglary/aggravated battery, and domestic abuse battery 4th offense charges. He received 10 years in prison on the introduction of contraband/possession with the intent to distribute heroin charges, and 5 years in prison on the simple possession of heroin case. All of the sentences are running concurrently.

Pierce had numerous prior convictions including domestic abuse battery by strangulation, resisting a police officer.

The cases were presided over by District Judge Scott Gardner. Assistant District Attorney Blake Peters was the prosecutor.
