The District Attorney’s Office helped set up court at the Washington Parish Fairgrounds Saturday and assisted over 100 people in resolving outstanding warrants on misdemeanor and traffic tickets.

Thanks to District Judges Ellen Creel and Vincent Lobello for volunteering their time, as well as Clerk of Court Johnny D. Crain, Jr. and Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal for enabling their staffs to participate. The D.A.’s Office worked with three community groups—GRAE (Growing Real Alternatives Everywhere), the Washington Parish NAACP, and Champions Of Change Organization (COCO)—to plan and publicize the event. We also appreciate the efforts of our Washington Parish staffers, Assistant District Attorney Shea Penton, Investigators Tommie Sorrell and Dan Manning, and Secretary Amy Harrison.  Even the weather cooperated, giving us a beautiful, sunny day.
