The Criminal Division of the 22nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office is its largest division and is organized into several sections.  The various sections include felony, misdemeanor, juvenile, traffic, appeals and domestic violence.  Each section is staffed with assistant district attorneys, investigators and secretaries.  The felony section is further divided into a screening division and a trial division.  The screening division reviews incoming cases and determines whether charges are appropriate to accept.  The trial division handles the accepted felony cases to conclusion as they move through the court system.
