Collin Sims speaks at Candlelight Vigil for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Assistant District Attorney Collin Sims, who is Chief of the Criminal Division in the District Attorney’s Office, had the pleasure of speaking Oct. 12th at a candlelight vigil in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The vigil was sponsored by Safe Harbor’s Domestic Violence Program at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Slidell. Collin discussed how District Attorney Warren Montgomery’s administration has focused on domestic violence as a priority and implemented staffing and procedural changes that have dramatically reduced the number of domestic violence cases that are dismissed.
