Our mentors are committed to the program and passionate about students!

To become a certified mentor, you must undergo a federal background check and five hours of online training.

Our mentors are trained in child safety and character development.

You will then be qualified to teach universal principles to kids right in their classrooms. Ready to start transforming lives? 

Our mentors teach principles that have been proven to lead students to fulfilling and productive lifes. 

Teach 1 to Lead 1 is a community mentoring program that teaches universal principles to lead at-risk kids into a life of purpose & potential.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Teach One to Lead One mentor! You will be joining an elite group of volunteers interested in helping our youth. To qualify, you must meet the following criteria: • Must be 19 years or older • Must not have a criminal case pending in the 22nd JDC • Must be willing to make a 14-week commitment • Must commit to 5 hours of online training, including child safety • Must pass a federal background check
