Pearl River Man Pleads Guilty to Raping Two Girls

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 21, 2017

COVINGTON—District Attorney Warren Montgomery reported that Jeremy M. Guild, 27, of Pearl River, pleaded guilty Monday (March 20) to two counts of forcible rape for raping two girls, ages 5 and 7 at the time. District Judge Raymond Childress sentenced Guild to 40 years in prison and lifetime registration as a sex offender.

The rapes were reported in July 2015 by the older girl’s stepmother. The child revealed to the stepmother that while staying at a relative’s home, Guild came into the room where she was sleeping and raped her. During their investigation, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputies learned about the second victim, who revealed a similar story, but Guild also infected the 5-year-old with an STD.

Assistant District Attorney Becky Jo Hollen prosecuted the case.
